One command, then sign in from inside the session. Or install the plugin and get the skills too. Once connected, Claude Code can resolve any UK address, value it, read its sale and listing history, check its planning constraints and name its registered owner, and read the published indices for any area. 94 tools, 51 of them free, one read-only sign-in.
Developers and analysts working in the terminal who want the tools and the eight MarketCode skills (valuation, area insights, sourcing, due diligence and more) in one install.

How to connect Claude Code
- 01
Install the plugin (tools and skills)
The plugin marketplace adds the MCP server and the skills together.
Claude Code/plugin marketplace add robosapien-ai/marketcode-plugin /plugin install marketcode@marketcode - 02
Or add the server alone
If you only want the tools, one command registers the server.
Terminalclaude mcp add --transport http marketcode https://mcp.marketcode.ai/mcp - 03
Authenticate
Inside the session run /mcp, choose MarketCode and Authenticate. Approve the read-only property scope in the browser.
- 04
Run a skill
Ask for a valuation report, an area brief or a planning check; the skill tells the agent which tools to call, in what order, and how to word what comes back.
The same steps sit beside the other clients on the MCP page.
Prompts
Things to ask Claude Code once it is connected
- “Run the valuation skill on 12 Lordship Lane SE22 8HN.”
- “Give me the area insights brief for Lewisham against its neighbours.”
- “Due diligence on this title: ownership, history, EPC, designations and cross-source disagreements.”
The skills are the same SKILL.md files this site renders under /skills, vendored from the public plugin repo, so what you read here is what the agent runs.
A skill states the credit cost of a workflow before it runs it.

FAQ
Questions about MarketCode from Claude Code
Do I need an API key?
+
No. MCP clients sign in with your MarketCode account over OAuth and receive a read-only token. API keys are for the REST API; pasting one into an MCP client does nothing useful and puts a secret where it does not belong.
What does it cost?
+
The catalogue shows which tools are currently free. Priced tools charge fixed credits per successful call, the same as over REST, and a new account starts with free credits. Every tool page and the pricing page show the price; a failed call is not charged.
What can a connected assistant do to my account?
+
Read property data and spend credits at the catalogue price. The scope is read-only property data; it cannot see or change your keys, billing or account, and you can revoke the connection in the Hub at any time.
What is the difference between the plugin and the MCP server?
+
The MCP server exposes the current tool catalogue. The plugin installs the server and adds the skills: written procedures for combining the tools into a valuation report, an area brief or a sourcing shortlist. You can use the tools without the skills; the skills need the tools.
