How often are the pages updated?

Daily. The indices move monthly with the registry and the listings; the stock series adds a point a day. Each page states the month its headline refers to.

Why is an area missing or marked as not yet available?

The sold-price index for some areas is the national series standing in for a thin local one, and a few areas have no series at all. A page with no index of its own says so rather than showing a borrowed number as local; Scotland and Northern Ireland are not covered because the sale record is England and Wales.

Q: Why local authorities and not postcodes?

Local authorities are large enough to carry a repeat-sales index of their own in most cases and small enough to describe a market. Postcode districts follow as a second tier once these pages have proved themselves; the same tools already answer at district grain.
