What area_report answers
THE TWO SCOPES ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE. Readiness, commercial stock and the planning register are keyed on the LOCAL AUTHORITY (lad_code, a GSS code — use area_resolve to get one); the live listing lane is keyed on POSTCODE DISTRICT. Pass both to fill every section, and expect the unsupplied half to read not_available with that reason rather than empty.
As with property_report, check sections_degraded before describing the document as complete. UK only.
Inputs
Before you call it
- postcode_district
- Give a postcode district ("SW11") or a postcode area ("SW"). Auction records carry a postcode rather than an area id, so there is no
area_idpath here and no lookup to make first. - sector
- Sectors follow the VOA classification (OFFICE, RETAIL, INDUSTRIAL_WAREHOUSE, HOTEL and so on). Omit the argument for all sectors; the response names the sectors published for an area when the one you asked for is not.
